April 13 will mark 500 days before the start of Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games on August 25, 2020. To celebrate this, the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government are planning celebrations from Monday April 1 to Saturday April 13.
The events will be known as “Let’s everybody enjoy the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games!” and will start with a “Paralympics 500 Days Bus” touring all of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games venues. The bus will echo the arrival of spring as it criss-crosses various locations in Tokyo, featuring the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic mascot Someity on a cherry blossom background alongside the 500 Days to Go logo, the Tokyo Paralympic emblem, and information on ticket sales for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
*Actual design may differ.
Visitors can try out Paralympic sports at Mitsui Outlet Park Tama Minami-Osawa (Sunday April 7), and at Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu (Saturday April 13).
