Accessibility
Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Shinmachi Bettei offers a non-smoking accessible room with twin beds. The room features handrails in the bathroom and 29㎡ to move around in. The room also has a flat-screen TV, air purifier/humidifier, and writing desk.
The entrance to the hotel itself has a small curb of about 5cm. However, after entering the hotel, there are no further steps.
While the room is spacious, the bed layout means that anyone in a wheelchair will need to use the bed closest to the door, and approaching the TV is difficult.
The accessible toilet has many handrails and a bidet toilet. Unfortunately, the toilet faces the door, making transfers difficult. There is no backrest on the toilet for those with balance issues.
While there is no roll-in shower per se, the bath unit is entirely waterproof and has drainage in the floor so a shower chair can be placed next to the bath tub and used as a roll-in shower. Unfortunately, due to the length of the shower hose, the shower chair will be need to be placed in the center of the room.
