To celebrate the 500 day milestone until the opening of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) is hosting two special events as part of a campaign running from 1 ~ 13 April, in conjunction with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

On Saturday 7 April, track-and-field para-athlete Kazumi Nakayama, and former wheelchair basketball player Shinji Negi will entertain the public with Paralympic sport experience sessions and talk sessions at Mitsui Outlet Park in Tama Minami-Osawa. Comedian Ryota Yamasato will also join in the events.

On Saturday 13 April, exactly 500 days before the start of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, badminton player Sarina Satomi will host a talk session at Toyosu’s Urban Dock LaLaport with Japanese celebrities – actor Akiyoshi Nakao and actress Riisa Naka – who will discuss the appeal of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games events.

On both days, the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic promotional bus and the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Torch will be on display by the stage. You can read a bit more on the bus in our previous article.

Unfortunately, all events will be in Japanese with no interpretation.
