Guesthouse Hamachaya located on the beach in the city of Minamichita overlooking Ise Bay, a 12-minute drive from Minamichita Beach Land (kid-friendly Aquarium and fun park). It offers modern accommodation with free parking (priority parking for those with disabilities), a café/coffee shop, a common area with microwave and complimentary coffee/tea, communal baths are available, and WiFi access is available in all areas. It is approximately a 20-minute walk (6-minute drive) to Utsumi Station and a 40-minute drive from Chubu Centrair International Airport.
Guesthouse Hamachaya has had various upgrades (e.g. ramps and an available elevator) to make it accessible to guests with disabilities, such as those in a wheelchair. Guestrooms offer both air-conditioning and heating. Each room is equipped with a fridge, and a flat-screen TV.
Laundry services are available at the hotel. Guests can make use of communal baths (separate male & female baths), each has safety rails, however there are steps into the bath so you will either have to walk in or have someone with you that can help transfer.
The hotel’s café/coffee shop serves a free breakfast as well as a variety of Japanese and Western dishes in a pleasant and relaxed setting. It is open for breakfast and lunch hours.
Accessibility
Guesthouse Hamachaya has a Universal room, small but spacious enough for someone in a wheelchair. Pet friendly rooms may be available but must be booked in advance.
The toilet is accessible from the front (walls on each side don’t allow for side-by-side transfer from a wheelchair), a vertical grab bar is located on one side. The sink has space open under it for a wheelchair to pull up. The shower has space enough for a shower chair (however closing the shower door may be an issue depending on the size of the shower chair).
An accessible family/unisex toilet is available on the first floor, while minimal, the facilities are located in a room spacious enough for a wheelchair to turn in. The toilet has armrests that may be moved up out of the way, side-by-side transfer from a wheelchair may be possible (depending on the wheelchair size), and it also has a small sink with space under it for a wheelchair.
