The Strings by InterContinental, Tokyo is an elegant hotel offering incredible travel convenience and two spacious wheelchair accessible rooms.
Just a 1-minute walk from Shinagawa Station, meaning the Shinkansen bullet train, Narita Airport, and Haneda Airport are all extremely accessible. The hotel has been designed with a “home away from home” concept and offers a quiet place to relax away from the bustle of the city. Original beds, ample natural light, and roomy atmosphere help you to enjoy your stay. All rooms are above the 26th floor, offering spectacular views of the city.
Two restaurants are available – The Dining Room (Global Cuisine) and China Shadow (Chinese Cuisine) – both using seasonal ingredients to create dishes with originality.
Accessibility
The bar area/tea lounge in The Dining Room is not accessible, but the staff are willing to make accommodations. Guide dogs are allowed throughout the hotel.
The Strings by InterContinental, Tokyo has two accessible rooms. Both feature twin beds – one of which is an electric medical bed with a remote control – and 38m² to move around in. A shower chair is available and can be placed next to the tub and used with the shower hose from the tub. A flashing alarm is available for those with hearing impairments.
